This exceptional mentorship laid the foundation for an exciting career that would span high-end fashion, magazine shoots, and the electric world of music industry styling.

As a session stylist, I’ve had the honor of working with numerous high-profile artists from television and music, crafting looks backstage that helped shape performances and appearances. My time in East London’s vibrant styling scene further honed my craft, immersing me in the cutting-edge of hair fashion and technique.

In 2011, I made the bold decision to bring my diverse experience to a village setting, opening my own shop that combines the quirky charm of Shoreditch-style barbering with expert craftsmanship. This venture allows me to offer locals the same high-caliber experience you’d expect in London’s most fashion-forward neighborhoods.

Beyond styling, my passion for the industry has led me to share my knowledge through education and training, helping to shape the next generation of hair professionals. This commitment to excellence and continuous learning remains at the heart of everything I do.

With over 20 years of experience in the barbering industry, I’ve had the privilege of working in London, Australia, and New Zealand. I’ve always loved the creative side of my work, whether it’s delivering timeless classic cuts or modern styles like skin fades, mullets, rough textures, and sharp finishes. Barbering has taken me across the world, and I feel lucky to have a craft I can bring with me wherever I go. Now, at Johnson’s Barbershop, I continue to shape men’s style with dedication and skill.

With nearly 20 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of honing my craft in my hometown of Glasgow, as well as Australia, Miami, and good old Essex. I have a passion for cutting and creating styles, especially when a client gives me a blank canvas to work with.
